Greenhouse Heating With Solar Thermal
I have designed multiple solar thermal systems in class and for work during my time at ASU. This particular design was installed at a greenhouse on campus used by the sustainable development department. This system allowed the department to use the greenhouse longer allowing the spring semester classes to start thier seeds in a warm environment with limited energy consumption. Other projects I have helped design and build have been installed at two local organic and biodynamic farms in Watagua county and are currently being used to produce food for the local farmers market.
Direct Pressurized Solar thermal
Description
This schematic depicts a pressurized solar thermal system at ASU used as a demonstration piece for classes. Direct systems are more efficient but do not protect against freezing which can be problem in Boone N.C..
