Season Extension for NC Farmers
During my time at ASU I worked for the universities sustainable technology research facility known as NEXUS as a Graduate Research Assistant. The Facilities research focused on season extension for farmers in Western N.C. through renewable energy systems and biomass waste streams. NEXUS uses multiple innovative heating methods that include Solar thermal water heating, pyrolysis, root zone heating, anaerobic digestion, photovoltaics, and solar food dehydration for waste heat. This job gave me tons of hands on experience witht he systems I love and taught me how to manage people and projects from start to finish with deadlines, budgets, and, efficiency.
