Where am I From?
I grew up in the small town of Faith N.C. where I learned dedication and hard work always prevail. Growing up in a small town instilled the morals, ethics, and skills that make me the man I am today. As a child I was constantly working on projects with my parents learning valuable skill sets without realizing it, these skills have served as a launchpad for my career, providing a solid foundation of knowledge I am continuously building upon.

Where I've Been?
Costa RicaI spent the Spring Break of my Sophomore year digging trenches, painting fences, working in an organic garden, and hiking through the Costa Rican jungle on an Alternative Service Experience offered by ASU. During our stay we slept and worked on an organic farm in Villas Mastatal Costa Rica. During this time we performed multiple service for the community including a sea turtle refuge, painting a fence for a local school, working on the farm, and maintaining trails in the La cangreja national forest. Because we were tracking our carbon footprint we only ate meat one night all week. Visiting Costa Rica was an amazing experience that opened my eyes to different cuisine and culture.

ChinaDuring the Summer of my Sophomore year in high school I traveled to multiple cities and provinces in China to explore the nations culture, architecture, and cuisine. While in the country I visited The Great Wall of China, the Forbidden City, The Summer Palace, and a sister school we had been communicating with throughout the year. This was the first time I had ever left the United States or been on a plane, so this was a truly mind blowing experience. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity at such a young age because it made me realize the world is so much bigger than the small, one stoplight, town I was from.
